James Hereward

I'm a relatively new member of the photography community (in the novice category), having picked up a camera just 18 months ago. Since then, I have developed a strong interest in capturing everyday moments, particularly focusing on friends and family. This photography is rooted in storytelling and personal connection.

This year, I've placed a special emphasis on portrait photography, aiming to improve my ability to capture expression, character, and natural light.

Still early in my journey, I'm enthusiastic about learning, experimenting, and continuing to develop my style within the club.

If you are considering starting photography,  the Malahide Camera Club is a very supportive environment and great bunch of people, all keen to impart their knowledge.

Burning the Midnight Oil

Late light, sleepless night

A grandfather and his granddaughter, guided by the level’s line. Years apart, yet perfectly aligned,

Two kindred minds in quiet rhyme

Immersed

Soft light, silent gaze - two sisters at the blurred divide.

Edges melt, the world turns fluid,

and they drift, fully immersed
