Mary Flanagan
I have always been drawn to photography. I really enjoy capturing moments, and creating memories, I find that photography is very mindful, and helps me appreciate the present moment . I also have a great interest in travel photography.
I joined Malahide camera club ten years ago and I have enjoyed every minute in a wonderful supportive community.

Sunrise
This image was taken on Portmarnock Beach with the sun rising over Ireland’s Eye. I am drawn to the colours and the reflection of light on the water. I love sunrise , it reminds me of hope and new beginnings
This is one of my favourite places to walk.
The Shelters
These are the recently painted shelters on Portmarnock beach , taken at sunset. They are part of the history of Portmarnock. The original ones were built over a hundred years ago.
They hold a special place for me as I started sea swimming during Covid and I am still part of the swimming community there. We gather all year round to swim, have coffee and chat.
If only those walls could talk.
