Started off with film many years ago and got into developing and printing my own B&W prints

in the attic of my parents’ house before eventually moving to digital. I love to try all different genres of photography and Fine Art Architecture is my latest interest.

Howth Harbour Lighthouse

This image of Howth Harbour Lighthouse was taken in the middle of the day and then edited in the "Fine Art Style" using techniques I have learnt and mastered over the last 15 months. I was shooting for my Fellowship panel and looking for examples of historical architecture here in Dublin which had to be over 100 years old to qualify. Once I finished editing this for my panel I saw the opportunity to edit it in a different way and the result is what you see here now. The lighthouse was completed in 1818 and it is a beautiful example of 19th century design.

Samuel Beckett Bridge

This image of the Samuel Beckett bridge edited in the Fine Art Architectural style using Photoshop and techniques I have learnt and mastered over the last 15 months. I used a version of this image for my Associateship Panel. However I wanted to use a different version of it for the exhibition so even though it was taken during the day I have edited it to make it appear it was taken at night and added stars to the night sky to emphasise that effect. My A panel was all about Contemporary architecture so I felt that this beautiful structure had to be included. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, this bridge is meant to evoke a harp lying on its edge
