Later when I purchased my first Digital camera it helped me experiment with different genres of Photography, i.e. Landscapes and Portraits.

This image was taken on the R252 between Doochary and Fintown in Co. Donegal.
The house with it’s red roof stands on a mountainside well in off the main road has appealed to me for a long time. I finally got a chance to record it before it is demolished as the previous occupants are long gone.
Kilkenny Shortcut
During a visit to Kilkenny City I came across this attractive shortcut to another street which I wished to capture. It was very busy with lots of people passing through all the time.
I returned another day during a quiet time and got my shot. I changed the image to Black and White which I liked.
I have since seen this shortcut in colour featured in an RTE advertisement.
