I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember and am interested in all types of photography including landscapes, nature, sports, wildlife, street and architecture. I also still use film for some of my photography and enjoy using vintage as well as modern cameras.

Red Squirrel
I took this image from a wildlife hide in Co. Laois. The squirrel had just jumped on to the log to eat when the sun shone through the trees onto his red coat. I had wanted to photograph a red squirrel for years and never had the opportunity before this.
I shot the image with a Nikon Z8 and 100-400mm lens. The only changes I made when editing the image were to darken the background a little to emphasise the squirrel.
Flight
I photographed these Greenfinches from a wildlife hide. One had landed to eat when the other flew in to try and steal the food. I like the way that the action is emphasised by the blurring of the attacking bird's wings. I shot this with a Nikon Z8 with a 100-400mm lens at a fast shutter speed.
